Faceless Void vs Storm Spirit

How this matchup plays

Catching Storm Spirit is usually the hard part, but Chronosphere stops him cold. Unlike most heroes, Storm can't use Ball Lightning to escape it, leaving him completely helpless for its duration. Even outside of his ultimate, Faceless Void makes Storm's life difficult with Time Dilation. That ability punishes Storm's entire playstyle, which relies on spamming spells to deal damage and move. A single hit from Dilation can slow his cooldowns to a crawl, leaving him unable to fight back or flee.

This dynamic forces the Storm Spirit player to be extremely cautious. He has to play around Chronosphere's cooldown, always trying to bait it out or engage only after it's been used on someone else. A single misstep in positioning means he gets caught and dies with no chance to escape. For Faceless Void, the plan is straightforward: farm up and look for a clean ultimate on Storm. A successful Chronosphere often wins the teamfight by itself, as it removes the enemy's most slippery hero without any real counterplay.
