Faceless Void vs Venomancer

How this matchup plays

Trying to zone out Faceless Void with poison feels like a losing battle. His Time Walk lets him reset and shrug off the damage-over-time that is central to Venomancer's kit. This makes laning against him frustrating, as any poke damage is easily undone. Later in the game, the problem gets worse. Chronosphere completely locks down Venomancer and any Plague Wards he's placed, turning his sustained area denial into a non-factor for the fight's most important moments. Veno has no way to kite or reposition once caught, making him an easy first target.

This dynamic lets Faceless Void farm much more freely than he should against a typical lane bully. Venomancer can’t effectively slow him down or control the lane, so Void reaches his key items and becomes a major threat on schedule. Fights then revolve around Void finding his Chronosphere. The Venomancer side is forced into a defensive posture, trying to spread out to avoid getting caught, which often means giving up objectives and map control. For Veno to succeed, his team needs to provide immense protection or capitalize on a major positioning error from Void.
