Faceless Void vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Catching Windranger inside a Chronosphere leaves her with no options. Her main defensive ability, Windrun, gives her evasion and speed, but she can't use it or benefit from it while she's frozen. This allows Faceless Void to hit her for free for the entire duration. Even outside of his ultimate, Void can use Time Walk to undo the burst damage from a Shackleshot combo or to dodge the stun entirely. He consistently has an answer for her most impactful spells.

This dynamic gets worse for Windranger as the game progresses. Faceless Void can safely farm, knowing one of the enemy's main damage dealers is a guaranteed kill for him once he has his items. Windranger's own game plan of finding pickoffs is risky, as trying to gank Void can easily be turned around by a good Time Walk or a defensive Chronosphere. She's forced to play much more cautiously or buy early defensive items that delay her own power spike, while Void can just build his standard damage items.
