Nature's Prophet vs Sniper

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map's economy becomes incredibly difficult for Nature's Prophet. His game plan revolves around split-pushing with treants and using his global Teleport to create pressure. Sniper shuts this down by clearing treant waves from a safe distance with his long attack range, nullifying the push without risk. Even a gank attempt is tough. If Nature's Prophet teleports in and tries trapping Sniper with Sprout, Sniper can attack the trees to free himself before taking much damage. Shrapnel also slows any advance, making it hard for NP to ever get close.

As the game goes on, this advantage snowballs. Nature's Prophet can't create the space he wants because Sniper defends towers so efficiently. This forces NP into teamfights where he's at a huge disadvantage. He has no good way to reach Sniper in the backline and is very vulnerable to being picked off by Assassinate if he gets low. For NP to have a chance, his team needs other heroes who can jump the backline and deal with Sniper. Otherwise, Sniper gets to dictate the pace of every fight and siege from a comfortable distance.
