Nature's Prophet vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Pushing out a side lane feels incredibly dangerous against a Spectre. Nature's Prophet relies on Teleportation to create pressure and farm unsafe parts of the map, but Spectre's Haunt completely punishes this strategy. She can instantly create a one-on-one fight anywhere he shows up. Once she's on top of him, Nature's Prophet has few options. He's too fragile to fight her directly, especially with Dispersion reflecting damage back, and Sprout does nothing to stop a Spectre who can phase through trees with Spectral Dagger.

This dynamic forces Nature's Prophet into a game he doesn't want to play. Instead of setting the tempo with split-pushing, he has to play reactively and stick close to his team, which negates his global presence. If he tries to force his own game plan, he risks giving Spectre free kills and accelerating her into the late game even faster. For the Spectre player, this matchup often means she can farm with less pressure, knowing her opponent's main strength makes him her ideal target. She essentially gets to dictate the engagements across the entire map.
