How this matchup plays

Controlling the map's tempo often comes down to which side can push waves more safely and efficiently. Jakiro excels at this, using Liquid Fire to shove lanes from a distance and apply pressure to towers. This forces Gyrocopter to constantly react, often using his own fighting cooldowns like Flak Cannon defensively just to keep his structures alive. This consistent pressure can slow down Gyrocopter's farm, delaying the critical items he needs to come online and fight effectively, putting his entire team on the back foot from early on.

In teamfights, Gyrocopter wants to find a spot to plant his feet and unload damage, but Jakiro’s entire kit works to deny him that stability. Spells like Ice Path and Macropyre create huge, dangerous areas that force Gyrocopter to constantly be on the move. While a Black King Bar allows Gyrocopter to ignore the spell damage and control, Jakiro’s goal is often to simply stall and break up the fight. By forcing Gyrocopter to move or splitting him from his supports, Jakiro can bleed the duration of spell immunity and prevent him from ever getting the clean, sustained damage he relies on to win.
