Gyrocopter vs Pudge

How this matchup plays

Getting pulled by a Meat Hook is a death sentence for Gyrocopter. He has no escape mechanism and a low health pool, so he can’t survive being held in place by Dismember. Even if Gyrocopter tries to turn and fight with Rocket Barrage, Pudge's innate tankiness from Flesh Heap often lets him absorb the damage and finish the kill. Gyro wants to be close to the fight to deal damage, but that's exactly where Pudge wants him to be.

This dynamic makes the entire game difficult for Gyrocopter. During the laning stage, he's forced to play defensively, constantly worried about a hook from the trees. Later on, Pudge's presence makes it incredibly risky for Gyro to position for his Flak Cannon and Call Down in teamfights. The Gyro player has to spend gold on items like Force Staff instead of damage, delaying his core timings. Pudge essentially controls the map and forces Gyro to play reactively, hoping his teammates can save him from the inevitable hook.
