Hoodwink vs Lifestealer

How this matchup plays

Controlling the jungle and pushing lanes becomes much easier when the enemy's main defense is nullified. Lifestealer's Rage makes him immune to the stun from Bushwhack and the magic damage from Sharpshooter, which are Hoodwink's primary tools for self-peel and burst. Once Lifestealer closes the distance, a cast of Ghoul Frenzy ensures Hoodwink can't easily escape with Scurry, even when she's near trees. He can then freely attack her, and her low health pool means she can't trade hits. This fundamental interaction denies Hoodwink safe spaces to farm or set up plays, giving Lifestealer's team significant map control.

During the laning stage, the matchup can feel even, but Lifestealer's advantage grows steadily. By the mid-game, a Raging Lifestealer can run at Hoodwink with little fear, forcing her to abandon pushes or jungle camps. Hoodwink’s best response is to play near allies who have stuns that pierce magic immunity or a way to physically disarm him. Without that specific support, she has to buy defensive items like a Force Staff very early, delaying her own damage. Lifestealer can abuse this by repeatedly targeting her, creating space for his own team to secure objectives while Hoodwink is either dead or forced back to base.
