Trying to land a Bushwhack from the trees on an approaching Luna defines this matchup. A successful root holds her in place for a full Sharpshooter channel, which is a major threat. However, being rooted does not stop Luna from fighting back. She can still use her ultimate or simply attack if Hoodwink is in range, turning the gank attempt around instantly. If the Bushwhack misses the tree, Hoodwink is left exposed and vulnerable to Luna's high physical damage from her glaives and superior movement speed, making each attempt a high-risk, high-reward play.

This dynamic creates a standoff where neither hero feels truly safe. In the early game, Hoodwink can often find the pickoffs she needs to get ahead. As Luna acquires items that grant spell immunity or more survivability, Hoodwink's control becomes less reliable. Luna, in turn, has to respect the threat of being caught out of position all game.
