Hoodwink vs Magnus

How this matchup plays

Trying to find a good spot in the trees as Hoodwink feels risky against Magnus. His Shockwave and Skewer both clear out entire sections of the forest, destroying your cover and ruining setups for Bushwhack stuns. This forces Hoodwink to play from much farther back or rely on Acorn Shot to create her own setup on the fly. In return, however, Hoodwink is a major nuisance for Magnus. A well-aimed Sharpshooter can break his Blink Dagger from a safe distance, completely disrupting his initiation. Scurry's evasion also makes her a slippery target for a team relying on Empowered physical attacks.

This creates a constant positioning battle across the map. Magnus wants to use his abilities to expose Hoodwink before landing a Reverse Polarity, since a successful catch on her is almost always a kill. Hoodwink plays a game of vision and distance, looking for an opening to disable Magnus before he can act. Whichever hero gets the jump on the other usually dictates the outcome of the fight. If Magnus initiates cleanly, Hoodwink dies. If Hoodwink or her team spots him first, his game plan falls apart before it can even begin.
