Hoodwink vs Timbersaw

How this matchup plays

Thinking Timbersaw's high armor makes him a good counter to a physical damage hero is a common trap. Hoodwink has multiple tools that completely bypass his core defense, Reactive Armor. Her Sharpshooter ultimate can apply a break, disabling the passive entirely, and it can be upgraded to deal pure damage, which ignores armor altogether. On top of that, Hoodwink's Scurry lets her move through trees, making it incredibly difficult for Timbersaw to land a Timber Chain to either get close or run away. She effectively dismantles the very things that make him durable.

This dynamic forces Timbersaw to play cautiously, which is the opposite of how he wants to function. Hoodwink can safely harass him from the trees with Acorn Shot, and if he ever tries to commit on a target, he risks getting caught by a Bushwhack stun and the full Sharpshooter channel. His best bet is to have teammates initiate on Hoodwink from another angle, forcing her to reposition before she can line up a clean shot. Otherwise, she gets to control the fight from a safe distance, making Timbersaw's job of front-lining nearly impossible.
