Hoodwink vs Winter Wyvern

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other rarely feels like a decisive advantage. Winter Wyvern’s entire defensive toolkit seems designed to frustrate Hoodwink’s plans. A well-timed Cold Embrace can completely negate the burst damage from a Sharpshooter or allow an ally to walk away from a full combo. This forces Hoodwink to wait for the perfect moment or find a way to bait out the save first.

However, Hoodwink is exceptionally difficult for Winter Wyvern to pin down and control. Scurry allows her to slip through trees and maintain distance, making it tough for Wyvern to land her own spells or set up a kill. The matchup becomes a game of cat and mouse; Hoodwink tries to land a Bushwhack on a target outside of Wyvern's save range, while Winter Wyvern positions herself to turn any gank attempt around with Winter's Curse. Neither hero can consistently shut the other down, making success dependent on which player better anticipates the other's moves.
