Invoker vs Lina

How this matchup plays

Lining up a kill as Lina can be frustrating when facing an Invoker. A well-timed Tornado can lift her during the Light Strike Array animation, saving the target and breaking her rhythm. Cold Snap is also a constant threat, interrupting her spells and movement whenever she takes damage from one of Invoker's allies. Even if Lina initiates perfectly, Invoker can often use Ghost Walk to survive the initial Laguna Blade burst, leaving her exposed with her most important spells on cooldown. These defensive tools give Invoker multiple ways to answer Lina's aggression.

In lane, this gives Invoker some control, but he's still vulnerable to ganks before he has enough levels for an escape. Lina can take over the game if she secures an early lead and builds an item that provides silence. Teamfights later on depend heavily on who gets the jump. If Lina can catch Invoker without his spells prepared, she can still delete him instantly. The matchup often hinges on whether Invoker has the right spells invoked to react to Lina's positioning.
