Invoker vs Naga Siren

How this matchup plays

Facing a mid-game Naga Siren, Invoker finds himself in a difficult spot. Her illusions from Mirror Image are tough for him to clear out efficiently, as his main area-of-effect spells like Meteor and Deafening Blast are on long cooldowns and he'd rather save them for real heroes. Wasting a big combo on fakes can lose a fight. Meanwhile, Naga's Song of the Siren can completely reset an engagement if Invoker attempts his full spell sequence, allowing her team to reposition or walk away unharmed. The matchup isn't entirely one-sided; a well-placed EMP can cripple the real Naga's mana pool, stalling her farm and preventing her from using Song to escape.

This tension defines the game. Invoker needs to coordinate with his team to find and burst the real Naga Siren before she can react, often requiring an Orchid or Scythe to guarantee the kill. He’s forced to play carefully, as getting caught by her army alone is a death sentence.
