Invoker vs Outworld Destroyer

How this matchup plays

Fighting for last hits in the mid lane puts these two heroes on a razor's edge. Outworld Destroyer wants to bully with Arcane Orb, but a Quas-focused Invoker has enough regeneration to weather the storm. Invoker can also summon Forge Spirits to apply pressure and secure creeps from a safe distance, forcing OD to choose between harassing the hero or losing farm. A well-timed Cold Snap or Tornado can interrupt OD's rhythm, making it difficult for him to establish the lane control he usually enjoys.

The outcome often depends on which hero secures an early lead. If Invoker survives the initial laning phase and gets his core items, he can start dictating the pace of the game with his global presence and powerful spell combinations, often setting up kills on Outworld Destroyer from outside his effective range. If OD finds a kill or forces Invoker out of lane, he can hit his own timing window much faster. A farmed OD can then take over the map, using Sanity's Eclipse to punish Invoker and his team in fights.
