Invoker vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Closing the gap on Invoker is Tiny's whole game plan, and it gets shut down from multiple angles. A single well-placed Ice Wall stops Tiny’s approach cold, leaving him vulnerable. Even if he does get in, a Tornado can lift him up and reset the fight, while a Deafening Blast can disarm him, making his physical burst useless. Invoker has far too many tools that create distance and control movement. Tiny relies on a straightforward combo, and Invoker has a specific spell to break almost every part of it, especially once he has a few levels and items.

This leads to a game where Tiny struggles to find his impact. He’ll get a Blink Dagger and look for kills, but a prepared Invoker is nearly impossible to burst. He can’t initiate a teamfight effectively because Invoker can turn it around with a single combo of his own. Tiny is forced to wait for Invoker to make a mistake or for his teammates to provide a perfect setup with long stuns. Otherwise, the Invoker player gets to dictate the tempo of every engagement, kiting Tiny and picking his team apart from a safe distance.
