Invoker vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Getting caught by an Invoker can feel like a death sentence for most elusive heroes. Cold Snap is particularly dangerous for Weaver, as its repeated stuns can prevent him from using Shukuchi to escape. A Quas-Wex Invoker has multiple tools like Tornado and EMP to control the fight and burn through Weaver's small mana pool, leaving him unable to use his spells. Even a Quas-Exort build can lock him down with Ice Wall or instantly burst him from full health, forcing out his ultimate early.

The matchup often comes down to who initiates and whether key cooldowns are available. Invoker’s goal is to land that first disabling spell to start his combo before Weaver can react. For the Weaver player, success depends on playing around vision and baiting out those spells. If he can survive the initial burst, Time Lapse can completely reset the engagement, leaving Invoker vulnerable with his main spells used. A Weaver who gets the jump on a solo Invoker can easily secure a kill, so it's a constant cat-and-mouse game.
