How this matchup plays

Catching Storm Spirit with Jakiro's spells is the whole story here. On one hand, Ball Lightning lets Storm fly right over Ice Path and reposition out of Macropyre, making Jakiro feel useless. Storm can easily initiate from outside Jakiro's cast range and burst the slow hero down before he can even turn around. On the other hand, if Storm misjudges his mana or gets caught by an instant disable from one of Jakiro's allies, he’s a sitting duck. A stationary Storm Spirit dies incredibly fast to Jakiro's layered damage-over-time spells, with no way to escape.

This creates a tense game for both heroes. During the laning phase, Jakiro can be a major problem, constantly harassing Storm with slows and pushing the wave. Once Storm gets his core items, though, he starts actively hunting for an isolated Jakiro. Teamfights become a positioning battle. Jakiro wants to stick with his team and create a zone of control that Storm can't enter, while Storm looks for a flank or an opening to bypass the frontline and instantly delete Jakiro. The matchup often comes down to which hero's team better enables their game plan.
