How this matchup plays

Finding farm and controlling the tempo is tough for Templar Assassin when her Refraction charges get burned away so quickly. Jakiro's entire kit is built on damage over time, meaning spells like Dual Breath or auto-attacks with Liquid Fire can strip away her main defensive layer with a single cast. This makes it very difficult for her to trade hits in lane or survive ganks. Templar Assassin relies on blocking big hits to stay aggressive, but Jakiro's constant, multi-instance damage is the perfect tool to bypass that strength.

This pressure starts in the lane and translates into a slower game for Templar Assassin, delaying the key items she needs to start hunting heroes. Jakiro can use this advantage to push down towers and secure map control for his team. While a good TA will try to avoid him and gank other lanes, his presence in teamfights is always a problem for her. She can’t simply blink on a support if the ground is covered by Macropyre and she risks getting caught by Ice Path, forcing her to play much more cautiously.
