Jakiro vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Laying down a full Jakiro combo on Void Spirit is harder than it looks. The cast animations on Ice Path and Macropyre are slow, giving Void Spirit a generous window to react. He can use Dissimilate to dodge the stun or reposition around the fire, turning Jakiro’s big setup into a wasted effort. While a good Jakiro can still catch him out, Void Spirit is fundamentally designed to outplay these kinds of telegraphed, area-of-effect spells. He gets to choose the engagement, while Jakiro is left trying to predict his movements.

This pattern continues through the game. A patient Void Spirit will often wait for Jakiro to commit his spells in a teamfight before zipping in to attack the back lines. To make the lockdown work, Jakiro really needs an ally with an instant disable to hold Void Spirit in place first. Otherwise, the fight happens on Void Spirit’s terms. He can poke and prod from the edges, forcing Jakiro to either hold his spells indefinitely or risk throwing them away on a target that won't be there when they land.
