Juggernaut vs Nyx Assassin

How this matchup plays

Assuming a quick burst from Vendetta will delete Juggernaut is a common mistake. More often than not, a well-timed Blade Fury will let Juggernaut spin through the Impale stun and magic damage, turning the gank completely. The real threat to Juggernaut isn't the initial burst, it's Spiked Carapace. Using Omnislash on any target while a hidden Nyx Assassin is nearby is a huge risk, as a good Carapace activation will stun Juggernaut mid-ultimate and reflect lethal damage back onto him. This dynamic forces a tense standoff between the two heroes.

This matchup evolves into a game of careful positioning. During teamfights, the Juggernaut player must be constantly aware of where Nyx might be hiding, often needing to kill him first with right-clicks and Blade Fury before feeling safe to use Omnislash. The Nyx player’s goal is to do the opposite: stay off the map and bait the ultimate, using his own teammates as bait to land a fight-winning Carapace. Success comes down to which player can better predict the other's movements and force a critical defensive cooldown first.
