Juggernaut vs Silencer

How this matchup plays

Controlling Juggernaut's ability to fight often comes down to one button: Global Silence. An instant, map-wide silence can completely neutralize him, preventing a defensive Blade Fury spin or a life-saving Omnislash. This allows Silencer's team to focus Juggernaut down while he's helpless. However, the reverse is also true. Juggernaut excels at killing fragile heroes who lack escapes. Blade Fury's spell immunity lets him close the gap without fear of Last Word or other disables, and a full Omnislash will almost certainly kill a support Silencer who gets caught out of position.

Early on, Silencer can make the lane difficult by repeatedly applying Arcane Curse, draining Juggernaut's mana if he has to spin to avoid follow-up damage. As the game progresses, Juggernaut's item choices become critical. A well-timed Black King Bar can render Global Silence ineffective, allowing him to play much more aggressively. Until then, his team has to respect the threat of Silencer's ultimate, often waiting for it to be used before fully committing to a fight. It's a constant back-and-forth of initiation and counter-initiation between the two.
