Farming against a Keeper of the Light can be difficult for Phantom Assassin, as constant Illuminate pressure can pin her under her own tower. This map control is balanced by the constant threat she poses in return. Keeper of the Light is a fragile hero with no innate escape, making him a prime target for Phantom Strike. His main defense, Blinding Light, can knock her away and apply a crippling miss chance, but if she can close the gap while it's on cooldown or after buying a Black King Bar, he has few ways to survive her physical burst.

This dynamic plays out across the entire game. Early on, Keeper of the Light can disrupt Phantom Assassin's farm, but he has to play carefully to avoid getting jumped. Later, teamfights often revolve around her ability to find and execute him before he can cast his spells. A successful pick-off removes a key defensive tool from the enemy team, while a well-timed Blinding Light or a Ghost Scepter purchase can completely nullify her aggression.
