Keeper of the Light vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Thinking you can run at Keeper of the Light with Static Link is a common mistake. The threat of Blinding Light completely changes how Razor has to approach fights. A single cast can instantly shove him back, breaking the link and wasting his spell. This forces Razor to either wait for the ability to be used on someone else or invest in a Black King Bar earlier than he might want to. Meanwhile, Keeper of the Light can safely contribute from the back lines with Illuminate, clearing waves and softening up targets without ever entering the range of Razor's aggression.

The dynamic shifts as the game progresses. During the laning stage, KotL can make it very difficult for Razor to secure last hits or apply pressure. In teamfights, however, it becomes a cat-and-mouse game. A well-positioned Keeper of the Light can peel for his cores, repeatedly breaking the link. But if Razor gets a good initiation on KotL, the old man is fragile and dies quickly. Success for either hero often comes down to which one gets the jump on the other, making vision and positioning the keys to swinging the fight.
