Kez vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Fighting into Razor can feel uncomfortable for Kez. A lot of Kez's strength comes from being able to isolate and out-duel opponents with his stance-swapping and parries. Razor’s Static Link directly complicates that goal by draining attack damage over its duration. This creates a window where Kez’s damage output is severely reduced, making it difficult for him to win the kind of direct engagement he's built for. He can’t parry the link itself, so his main option becomes trying to disengage and break the tether.

Early on, this can make laning difficult if they are matched against each other. During the mid-game, when Kez wants to be finding pickoffs, Razor can often follow up and turn the fight with Static Link. This tends to put the pressure on Kez to adapt his approach. He might need to build a Black King Bar earlier than usual or rely on teammates to disable Razor before he commits to a fight. In larger teamfights, Razor will often try to link Kez to neutralize his damage, forcing the Kez player to be more mindful of his positioning and target priority.
