Legion Commander vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Dueling Spectre is often a fatal mistake for Legion Commander. All the damage Legion Commander pours out during her ultimate is partially reflected right back at her by Dispersion. The harder LC hits, the more she hurts herself, frequently leading to her own death even if she wins the Duel. This core interaction turns Legion Commander's primary tool for snowballing into a huge liability. To even attempt a solo Duel, she needs specific items that delay her normal build, and even then, the outcome is far from guaranteed against a farmed Spectre.

This dynamic warps the entire match. Legion Commander wants to hunt isolated heroes, but Spectre's Haunt means she can join any fight, turning a simple gank into a disaster. LC is often forced to avoid targeting Spectre entirely, which is a problem when Spectre is the enemy's main carry. While Legion Commander hunts for easier prey, Spectre is free to farm and becomes progressively harder to deal with. Spectre doesn't need to do anything special to win this matchup; she simply needs to exist, knowing Legion Commander's signature spell is a danger to herself.
