How this matchup plays

A successful Duel on Tinker is almost always a death sentence. Tinker’s entire kit is built around mobility and staying at a distance to re-arm his spells, but Legion Commander’s ultimate is a point-and-click lockdown that completely ignores his usual escape plan. He is far too fragile to survive being held in place for its duration. Legion Commander also naturally builds a Blink Dagger, giving her the instant initiation needed to get on top of an elusive hero like Tinker before he can react. His whole defensive style is nullified by a single ability.

This dynamic forces Tinker to play an incredibly passive game. His typical strategy of split-pushing and applying map pressure becomes extremely risky, as Legion Commander will actively hunt him across the map. Any time Tinker shows alone in a lane, he's a potential Duel target, which not only gets LC a kill but also permanently buffs her damage. Tinker is forced to rely on his team for vision and protection, limiting his impact, while LC can confidently play her game knowing she has a simple, reliable answer to their biggest backline threat.
