Legion Commander vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Catching a Void Spirit is usually a nightmare, but not for Legion Commander. His entire kit is built around mobility and escaping with spells like Dissimilate. Duel, however, completely ignores all of that. Once she lands it, he's stuck for the full duration with no way out. He isn't durable enough to survive on his own, and Legion Commander's Press the Attack can even dispel slows or silences he might try to land before she commits. It's a fundamental counter to his slippery playstyle.

This makes the mid-game incredibly dangerous for Void Spirit. He normally wants to split the map and apply pressure, but that play is a direct invitation for a Blink Dagger Legion Commander to find him. His main option is to play much more defensively, staying close to his team and hoping they can save him if he gets caught. This limits his impact significantly. Meanwhile, LC can dictate the tempo of the game by threatening to remove Void Spirit from any fight before it properly starts, creating a constant pressure he has to play around.
