Leshrac vs Lich

How this matchup plays

Trying to run people down with Pulse Nova and Diabolic Edict can be difficult for Leshrac against a team with Lich. A simple Frost Shield on Leshrac’s target significantly reduces his damage and makes it harder for him to stick to them. If Leshrac overcommits, Lich can halt his aggression entirely with Sinister Gaze, pulling him out of position and holding him still for a counterattack. This lockdown often sets up a deadly Chain Frost, turning Leshrac from the aggressor into the primary target.

This interaction forces Leshrac to be much more careful, especially before he can purchase a Black King Bar. A poorly timed charge can be easily punished by Lich’s spells. Once Leshrac has his BKB, however, he can often ignore Sinister Gaze and the slows, allowing him to play his aggressive style more freely. The matchup becomes about timings and positioning. Lich wants to control the fight and punish Leshrac early, while Leshrac needs to play patiently until he gets the core item that lets him shrug off Lich's control.
