Leshrac vs Lifestealer

How this matchup plays

Controlling teamfights against a Lifestealer is a nightmare for Leshrac, making it hard to push towers or secure objectives. The fundamental problem is Rage, which lets Lifestealer ignore Leshrac's stun and the constant magic damage from Pulse Nova. While Leshrac is built to wear down enemies in long engagements, Lifestealer can turn on spell immunity and run straight through the damage to kill him. Even the physical damage from Diabolic Edict is often not enough to deter Lifestealer, who sustains through it with Feast.

A Leshrac player has to be extremely careful from the mid-game onwards. Any aggressive play can be punished if Lifestealer shows up. Leshrac needs his team to provide a lot of physical lockdown or save him with items like Force Staff or Ghost Scepter. Lifestealer's game plan is straightforward: find Leshrac, pop Rage, and kill him to win the teamfight. This forces Leshrac into a reactive, defensive role that completely undermines his usual high-tempo style of play.
