Leshrac vs Rubick

How this matchup plays

Stealing any of Leshrac's spells can be a huge swing for Rubick's team. A lifted Split Earth provides a reliable long-range stun that can initiate a fight or counter-initiate from a safe distance. Even a stolen Pulse Nova can turn a chaotic teamfight on its head, punishing Leshrac's allies for grouping up. This constant threat forces the Leshrac player to be mindful of his spell usage and positioning, potentially slowing down the high-tempo aggression he needs to win the map. Rubick's Telekinesis also provides an excellent tool for locking down a fast-moving Leshrac, setting him up to be burst down before he can deal significant damage.

The matchup often comes down to item timings and map control. Rubick excels at punishing Leshrac's predictable desire to group up and push towers. However, Leshrac farms much faster than Rubick and can accelerate towards key items. Once Leshrac secures a Black King Bar, Rubick's ability to control him or steal spells is severely limited, allowing Leshrac to run rampant in fights. The game is a race: Rubick tries to create enough of an advantage by punishing Leshrac's early aggression, while Leshrac tries to survive and hit a timing where he becomes too tanky and powerful for Rubick to handle.
