Leshrac vs Shadow Shaman

How this matchup plays

Trying to run at the enemy team with Pulse Nova is how Leshrac wants to play, but this is exactly what Shadow Shaman is built to punish. A well-timed Hex or Shackles can completely immobilize Leshrac, leaving him vulnerable in the middle of a fight. Since Leshrac is relatively fragile and lacks a natural escape, this long duration of control is often a death sentence. While Leshrac can theoretically interrupt Shackles with Split Earth, the spell's delay makes it unreliable for saving himself or an ally, especially compared to the instant lockdown coming his way.

This dynamic puts a timer on Leshrac’s aggression. Pushing a tower or taking a fight becomes much riskier when Shadow Shaman is missing from the map. Leshrac is often forced into buying a defensive item like a Black King Bar sooner than he’d prefer, potentially slowing down his damage progression. To win the engagement, Leshrac needs to play around vision, bait out the disables, or rely on his team to deal with the Shaman first. If Shadow Shaman misuses his spells, Leshrac can easily turn and melt him, which keeps the matchup from being one-sided.
