Leshrac vs Sniper

How this matchup plays

Running at a Sniper is often the core of Leshrac’s problem. Leshrac wants to get into the middle of a fight with Pulse Nova active, dealing sustained damage to everyone. Sniper excels at punishing this exact game plan from a safe distance. His long attack range, combined with the slow from Shrapnel, makes it difficult for Leshrac to close the distance without taking heavy damage. Even if Leshrac survives the approach, Sniper can often use Assassinate to finish him off as he tries to retreat. The fundamental range difference puts the pressure on Leshrac to find an opening, while Sniper gets to play his normal game.

This dynamic forces Leshrac to rely on initiation items like a Blink Dagger. Without a way to instantly close the gap, he struggles to contribute to fights effectively and can get kited around the perimeter. The game often becomes about which team's plan works first: can Leshrac and his allies find and burst the Sniper before he melts their frontline? A well-positioned Sniper behind defensive supports can make this very difficult. However, if Leshrac does get the jump, Sniper is fragile and dies quickly to Diabolic Edict, which is why the advantage isn't bigger.
