Leshrac vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Catching Leshrac relies entirely on Windranger landing a perfect Shackleshot. If she can lock him down, Focus Fire has a real chance to burst him before he can react. The problem is that Leshrac's main damage sources, Diabolic Edict and Pulse Nova, completely ignore the evasion from her Windrun. If she fails to kill him during that shackle, or if she misses the stun, Leshrac can turn around and run directly at her. His sustained spell damage will usually overwhelm her once he gets close, making that initial lockdown attempt the entire fight for Windranger.

This creates a constant back-and-forth across the game. Early on, Windranger can use her range and Powershot to stay safe, but Leshrac's farming speed lets him hit his item timings reliably. Once Leshrac gets his core tank items, he becomes very difficult for Windranger to kill alone, forcing her to rely on teammates for control and extra damage. A farmed Windranger can still punish a careless Leshrac, but a farmed Leshrac can run over her whole team. The game often hinges on which of them gets a better start and can dictate the pace of mid-game fights.
