Lich vs Mirana

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down a Mirana as Lich presents a constant trade-off. Lich’s slows from Frost Blast and Frost Shield make it difficult for Mirana to find a clean escape with Leap or for her allies to follow up on a Sacred Arrow. A quick Sinister Gaze can also hold her in place before she has a chance to jump. On the other hand, Mirana’s mobility is often enough to dodge Chain Frost bounces or simply reposition to avoid Lich’s spells entirely. Neither hero possesses a single ability that reliably counters the other; they mostly negate each other's primary strengths.

This dynamic continues through the mid and late game. During teamfights, Lich wants to use Frost Shield to save whichever ally Mirana jumps on, effectively nullifying her burst. Mirana’s goal is to find and pick off the vulnerable Lich from a distance before he can get his defensive spells off on key targets. The fight often comes down to which hero acts first. If Lich positions poorly and gets hit by an Arrow, he’s an easy kill. If Mirana Leaps in too aggressively, she can be easily controlled and focused down.
