Lich vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a target as Tiny is a miserable experience when Lich is on the other team. Tiny relies entirely on his physical combo to secure kills, and Frost Shield is a direct counter. The shield not only reduces incoming damage but also cripples his attack speed, making any follow-up right-clicks feel useless. If Tiny tries to commit, Lich can also use Sinister Gaze to interrupt his combo and pull him out of position. To make it worse, Chain Frost is devastating against a hero like Tiny who has to be in the middle of his targets to be effective.

This advantage for Lich starts in the lane, where his constant slows make it difficult for a melee hero like Tiny to farm or trade effectively. As the game progresses, Tiny’s gank timings are consistently ruined by a defensive Frost Shield on his intended victim. Tiny’s main counterplay is to get a Black King Bar and try to kill Lich before he can react, but this is often too slow. Lich simply has to stay behind his cores, use his spells defensively, and wait for Tiny to overextend. His entire kit seems designed to punish exactly what Tiny wants to do.
