Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Necrophos wins the Lifestealer vs Necrophos matchup: Necrophos beats Lifestealer in 50.96% of 100,665 ranked matches.
Blocking the magic damage from Reaper's Scythe with Rage is the central play for Lifestealer, but the stun will still pierce his spell immunity. This often leaves him locked down for Necrophos's team to finish off after Rage ends. Necrophos has his own direct answer with Ghost Shroud, which makes him immune to physical attacks and can completely stall Lifestealer's aggression, forcing him to retreat. The fight usually depends on which hero is baited into using their key defensive spell first. Whoever has teammates ready to follow up on the lockdown or capitalize on the brief window of vulnerability will typically come out ahead.
