Lifestealer vs Omniknight

How this matchup plays

Forcing out Omniknight's ultimate is the main way Lifestealer's team can control the map. The matchup hinges on a direct trade of abilities: Lifestealer uses Rage to become magic immune and run at a target, ignoring Omniknight’s typical defensive spells. This aggression often demands an immediate Guardian Angel to prevent a kill. Since Rage has a much shorter cooldown, Lifestealer can repeatedly create these situations, forcing Omniknight to play reactively and stay tethered to his cores. If Guardian Angel is baited, Lifestealer's team has a large window to take objectives or another fight.

The game becomes a test of patience and timing for both sides. The Lifestealer player will try to find an isolated target or wait for other spells to be used before committing Rage. In response, a good Omniknight waits for Lifestealer to fully commit before using Guardian Angel, hoping his team can kite or disable Lifestealer after Rage expires. A mistimed ultimate from either hero can easily decide a teamfight. This dynamic is also why they work well together, as Rage allows Lifestealer to carry the physical immunity from a friendly Guardian Angel without being stunned.
