Lifestealer vs Pangolier

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other feels like a bet on who gets to dictate the fight. Lifestealer's Rage lets him ignore the disruption from a Rolling Thunder, allowing him to stand his ground and apply damage. This forces Pangolier to respect Lifestealer's uptime. On the other hand, Pangolier’s extreme mobility from Swashbuckle and Shield Crash makes him incredibly difficult to pin down. He can often create distance, wait out the magic immunity, and re-engage on his own terms. It’s a direct clash of sustained aggression versus evasive disruption.

In practice, fights hinge on cooldowns and positioning. Lifestealer wants to bait out Pangolier's escapes before committing Rage, or use Infest to surprise him. Pangolier tries to do the opposite, kiting until Rage is gone before using his roll to turn the fight on Lifestealer’s team. The better-positioned hero usually comes out ahead. If Pangolier gets caught or silenced before he can get away, he melts. But if Lifestealer overcommits and gets stranded after Rage fades, he’s an easy target for Pangolier and his allies to clean up.
