Lifestealer vs Techies

How this matchup plays

You'd think setting up minefields would be the perfect way to zone out a melee carry, but Lifestealer has the perfect answer. His Rage ability grants magic immunity, letting him walk through Proximity Mines and Stasis Traps without taking damage or getting stunned. This completely defuses Techies' main form of area denial and control. Instead of a dangerous maze, minefields become a minor inconvenience Lifestealer can clear out on his own terms. Even Techies' other spells like Sticky Bomb and Blast Off are rendered useless during Rage, leaving him with almost no way to fight back or escape.

As the game progresses, this dynamic makes Lifestealer a direct predator of Techies. Lifestealer can initiate fights by running at the Techies' position, confident that he can ignore all the defensive preparations. The Techies player is forced to play from extreme distances and rely entirely on his teammates for protection, as his own kit offers little resistance. While Lifestealer can use Infest to taxi an allied Techies into a fight, against an enemy Techies, he uses his abilities to methodically dismantle their defenses and make them a priority target.
