Lifestealer vs Tidehunter

How this matchup plays

Fighting into Tidehunter is a lot simpler for Lifestealer than for most carries. Rage provides complete magic immunity, allowing him to ignore Ravage if timed correctly and turning Tidehunter's main teamfight contribution into a non-factor for Lifestealer himself. Furthermore, Feast deals damage based on the target's health, making it very effective against high-strength heroes who rely on a massive health pool to survive. While Kraken Shell provides a dispel and damage block, it doesn't stop Lifestealer from sticking to his target and chewing through that health.

This dynamic often forces Tidehunter to play around Lifestealer’s timings. A Tidehunter player will try to bait out Rage early or catch Lifestealer at the start of a fight before he can react. A good Lifestealer, however, holds his spell immunity specifically for the Ravage, then turns the fight. It becomes a mind game where Tidehunter's team needs to find other ways to lock him down after Rage ends. If they can't, Lifestealer can often run over the frontline, control the pace of teamfights, and make it difficult for Tidehunter to establish a good position.
