How this matchup plays

Fighting an Ursa head-on usually means watching his Fury Swipes stacks melt you. For Lifestealer, it's a different story. The moment Ursa commits and builds up a few stacks, Lifestealer can use Rage to completely purge them off and become magic immune, negating any slows. This resets the fight on Lifestealer’s terms. Now it's a pure physical trade, but Lifestealer's Feast drains a portion of Ursa’s health with every hit, which is very effective against a high-strength hero. Ursa's whole game plan of stacking damage gets dismantled by a single button press.

This dynamic means Lifestealer isn't afraid to farm in the same areas as Ursa post-laning. He can often turn a gank attempt around into a solo kill. Ursa is forced to play around the Rage cooldown or hope his team has enough lockdown to kill Lifestealer before he can react. To have a real chance, Ursa needs to build specific items to deal with Rage, which can delay his own power spikes. Lifestealer, meanwhile, can build his standard items and feel confident he has the upper hand in any direct confrontation.
