Lina vs Timbersaw

How this matchup plays

Thinking Timbersaw can tank anything is the main mistake here. His entire defense is built around Reactive Armor, which provides armor and regeneration when he gets hit. That’s great against physical attacks, but it does next to nothing against Lina. Her whole kit is magical. She can lock him down with a Light Strike Array and unload a full combo before his regen has a chance to matter. Timbersaw is a hero with a big health pool and no innate magic resistance, which is exactly the kind of target Laguna Blade is built to execute.

This leaves Timbersaw on the back foot from the very start. He can't trade effectively in lane and is always under threat of dying once Lina hits her ultimate. Later in the game, his plan to zip in with Timber Chain and cause chaos is ruined because he can be instantly deleted from the fight. Lina doesn't need to change her game plan at all; she simply waits for the opportunity. Timbersaw is forced to build defensively much earlier than he'd like, delaying his own timings and making it harder for him to have an impact.
