How this matchup plays

Trying to land Light Strike Array on a good Storm Spirit can be a real test of prediction. He can often dodge it with a quick Ball Lightning, and once he's on top of Lina, his Electric Vortex leaves her very vulnerable. On the other hand, if Lina does land her stun, or if she catches Storm without enough mana to escape, her full combo with Laguna Blade can delete him almost instantly. Both heroes have the tools to kill the other, but they also have the direct counters to each other's primary game plan. The fight often comes down to who makes the first mistake.

This dynamic continues into the mid and late game. Lina usually has an easier time in lane thanks to her attack range and wave clear, but Storm Spirit's timings can completely shift the game's tempo. He starts hunting for solo targets, and an out-of-position Lina is a top priority. Lina needs to play with good vision and stick with her team, using her powerful burst to punish Storm when he initiates. It really becomes a contest of Storm's ganking ability versus Lina's teamfight positioning and execution, making it a genuine skill matchup.
