Lina vs Tinker

How this matchup plays

Playing as Tinker against a Lina means constantly being on edge. His defenses like Laser are meant to deal with physical attackers, but they do almost nothing to stop her huge magical burst damage. In the lane, Lina can easily push out the wave and harass him from a safe distance with Dragon Slave. Later on, Tinker's low health pool makes him a prime target for her Laguna Blade. He relies on being elusive, but her damage is so quick that he often dies before he can even use an item or spell to escape.

This dynamic forces the Tinker to play far more cautiously, slowing down his farm and preventing him from applying pressure across the map. He can't safely teleport to lanes to push if Lina is missing. For Lina, the game becomes a hunt. With a mobility item, she can find and execute Tinker before he contributes to a fight. Tinker's goal becomes surviving her initiation, while Lina's team can play around her ability to pick off a core hero from the start of any engagement.
