How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against Tusk often comes down to surviving his initiations. He excels at closing the distance with Snowball, which is a perfect tool for getting on top of a fragile, immobile hero like Lina. A successful jump can lock her down with Ice Shards and prevent her from getting her spells off. However, the interaction isn't one-sided. Lina’s Light Strike Array can stun Tusk the moment he lands, turning his aggression against him. If she survives his initial burst, her own damage output from Fiery Soul and Laguna Blade is often enough to kill him before he can escape.

This creates a high-stakes game of cat and mouse from the early stages. Tusk’s job is to apply constant pressure, roaming to gank Lina and disrupt her farm to prevent her from hitting her item timings. Lina’s response is to secure vision, play from a safe distance, and use her superior waveclear to accelerate her farm. The match often comes down to execution: if Tusk fails to create significant chaos early on, Lina will inevitably out-scale him and become a major problem for his team in later fights.
