How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down a Windranger with your stun feels like a coin flip. Windrun gives her the movement speed to sidestep Light Strike Array if she's paying attention, and its physical evasion can blank a lot of your follow-up damage if you're building for right-clicks. On the other hand, a good Light Strike Array is often all it takes to set up a kill, as she's too fragile to survive the full magic burst from Lina. Both heroes want to do the same thing: land a disabling spell from a distance and then unload their full combo on a single target before they can react.

This dynamic of a quickdraw duel continues for the entire game. The fight often comes down to which hero gets the jump on the other. Neither has a reliable way to break past the other's defensive tools, but both will die instantly if caught out of position. Success is less about a hard counter and more about which player has better map awareness and faster reactions. Since both heroes excel at bursting a single target and lack tools to help their team, they often end up competing for the same role, even on opposite sides.
