How this matchup plays

A Marci jumping in with Rebound is often a death sentence for a squishy hero. Her combo of Dispose and Unleash can lock down and eliminate a target before they can react. Luna, however, can turn this aggression on its head. A well-timed Eclipse punishes Marci for isolating herself during the initial dive, often deleting her before she can finish her full combo. This threat forces Marci to be more cautious with her initiations, as a failed gank can mean a swift death and a lost fight.

Early on, Marci's kill potential is very high, and she can make Luna's life difficult. The game pivots once Luna gets a Black King Bar. With spell immunity, Marci can no longer reliably use her spells to lock Luna down, removing her primary way of dealing with her in fights. Later on, Luna’s damage from Moon Glaives bouncing through a teamfight tends to have a larger impact than Marci's single-target focus, giving Luna's team a slight advantage as long as she survives the initial engagement.
