Luna vs Ogre Magi

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Ogre Magi with Eclipse is often a trap. He's naturally one of the tankiest supports and can frequently live through the full duration. Once he survives, Ogre has the lockdown to completely turn the fight. A multicasted Fireblast can hold Luna in place long enough for his team to collapse on her, punishing her for the aggressive play. Instead of securing a quick kill, Luna often finds herself stunned and focused down because her main damage spell failed to eliminate its target.

This dynamic shapes the mid-game. Luna wants to accelerate by finding pickoffs, but Ogre Magi is a risky target who discourages her from playing on the edge of the fight. She is forced to either commit her ultimate to a squishier hero or wait for Ogre to be out of position. Later on, Luna's sustained right-click damage from Moon Glaives can certainly chew through him, but his job is to disrupt her long enough for his own cores to take her down. It becomes a game of positioning and target priority, with neither hero having a guaranteed path to victory against the other.
