Luna vs Pangolier

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against a Pangolier often comes down to pushing waves, and Luna excels at this. Her Moon Glaives clear creeps and pressure towers from a safe distance, denying him the space he needs to find favorable fights. When teamfights do happen, Pangolier's mobility from Swashbuckle and the disruption from Rolling Thunder can be problematic, but Luna's damage is not easily dodged. The glaives will bounce to him even as he repositions, and a well-timed Eclipse can melt him if he’s caught without his ultimate available to create distance.

As the game progresses, Luna tends to set the pace by forcing objectives. Pangolier is strongest when he can initiate on his own terms, but a Luna grouped with her team behind a pushed-out lane is a difficult target. His goal becomes finding a flank and using Rolling Thunder to scatter the formation, hoping his allies can follow up on a key hero. Conversely, Luna’s side wants to create a fortress around her, using her sustained damage to wear down towers and opponents. If Pangolier can't create an opening, Luna's superior farming speed and tower pressure often seal the game.
